The day we spent with Fingal Coast Care, Kingscliff Dune Care and Growing Coastal to plant upwards of 400 natives in the white sand dunes along Fingal Road.
Here at Earth Beer Company, we believe in making time for the good things life has to offer and for the team here at the brewery, getting out to explore, adventure and relax in nature is something we are all extremely passionate about.
We are so lucky to live in such an amazing region of Australia which is home to so many indigenous species of plants and animals so when we were presented with the opportunity to contribute to a local community \ bush rejuvenation project we jumped at the opportunity.
On Sunday 30th July, over 100 people from the local (and extended) community joined us, Fingal Coast Care, Kingscliff Dune Care and Growing Coastal to plant upwards of 400 natives in the white sand dunes along Fingal Road. This was just a small contribution to a much larger project which aims to join the coastal bushland from Fingal Head to Murphys Road, replenishing the dunes with Eucalypts, Lilly Pillys and other native plants to form a. thriving habitat for local wildlife, insect populations and generations to come.
The coastline running from Fingal to Kingscliff is home to numerous native species of land and ocean-dwelling creatures, including the critically endangered Glossy Black Cockatoo, three species of Curlew and the Hawksbill Turtle.
Little is known about NSW Hawksbill Turtle populations, which is where Green Heroes come in. Green Heroes work to research and protect our local turtle populations so we jumped at the opportunity to join forces to support them through the creation of a delicious brew to raise much-needed funds to further their work.
Brewed in collaboration with Green Heroes, our local Turtle Conservation group, we are excited to introduce this super session-able pale ale is packed with an epic combo of juicy American and punchy Aussie hops, delivering aromas of Mango, Pineapple and Passionfruit with a light, hazy body and dry refreshing finish!
So how can our Hawksbill Hazy Pale Ale help efforts to save the turtles?
Earth Beer Company is donating $100 per keg and $1 per tinnie directly to Green Heroes so I am reaching out ahead of release to confirm a number of local venues to be listed on our promotional material and to join us as stockists of this fundraising brew, due release the second week of AugustFunds raised will support and raise awareness of the OceanID project in the search for critically endangered NSW Hawksbill populations. This project is a platform for capturing accurate census, distribution and population data. By snapping a photo of the left facial side profile of a turtle and uploading it to the OceanID platform, members of the community can directly contribute to the current understanding and subsequent preservation and protection of our local turtle populations.
You can support this fantastic cause by purchasing a freshly poured beer, 4pk or 16pk directly from the brewery, online and from participating local stockists*.
